Community Grants

Oregon Consumer Justice is laying the foundation for community-led initiatives. We’re gathering information from Oregonians across the state, including elderly, rural, and low-income Oregonians and those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or people of color, so we can create actionable plans to address the consumer issues that matter most.

While we’re laying the foundation for community-led initiatives and developing our strategic plan and goals, we’re also taking short-term actions that have immediate impacts for Oregonians in need.

Since our inception in 2019, OCJ has distributed more than $4.5 million in grants and scholarships to community organizations, legal groups, and other efforts to actively help Oregon consumers.

  • Emergency response grants to community-based organizations working directly with Oregonians impacted by COVID-19 and the Oregon wildfires
  • Emergency Eviction Response grants to community-based organizations directly supporting tenants facing eviction
  • Financial support to bolster consumer law services and research
  • Scholarships to Oregon attorneys to keep them up-to-date on the latest consumer law developments and trends

As we develop and implement our strategic plan, we may identify new funding opportunities to strengthen and expand the advocacy, legal, and consumer protection support available to Oregonians.
